TradeWars 2002

SprayPaint's Daughter Needs Help - School Fundraiser Please Help!

Way back during the 80's we didn't have the Internet, we didn't have high speed broadband, we used telephone lines and modems we called a BBS (bulletin board system) and you know what? Facebook didn't invent Social Networking, BBS's did :P and BBS's had games just like facebook, these games were social games, and a few of those games were probably much better than half the crap people play on facebook right now, and most of them were wrote better (fewer bugs)!

Of these games one of the most memorable was TradeWars wrote by Gary and Mary Ann Martin, in 1995 John Pritchett joined Martech (Gary's Company) and eventually as BBS's started declining Gary handed over the game to John...

John continued to develop the game, work out the bugs, and with the decline of BBS's and modems he made a game server to allow the game to be played on the Internet using Telnet... The game has been worked on since 1986 and is one of the few BBS games that is still playable and being developed today.

After making the original set John asked if I could include the Hidden ANSI screens from the 25th Anniversary edition of the game... So I also included those screens...
